Company History
In 2002 we set out to create a platform for a company called Kiln-direct.com that would serve a range of needs that included managing customer information, handling product orders, compiling a central communication history and more. The main vision was to create a system that was 100% web-based to provide global access for both the owner and managers who travel throughout the world. After researching several off-the-shelf and custom solutions, we took this challenge on ourselves. Today, this type of development may seem rather ordinary but in 2002, SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) had not really made it in roads into Business Administrative Systems, validating SalesKite as a pioneer in the SaaS industry.
Over the next 3-4 years we kept adding features and functions to improve web-site management (CMS), total email integration, virtual faxing, procurement, an accounting system for full financial integration and much more. Along the way we realized that the value we were bringing to Kiln-direct was also a scalable solution for a wide range of companies.
After perfecting the system for the initial intent, at the end of 2006 we launched the brand as a third party SaaS, to provide small to mid-size companies with complete web-based technology solutions. To create a scalable solution that was applicable to a variety of business types at all levels of need, our Entry level solution was born: SalesKite.
SalesKite is a hosting platform, which is offered in 3 levels: LAUNCH, CONNECT, and TRADE. As your business grows, a fourth level called MANAGE (offered by OmniAdministrator - the parent developer behind the original Kiln-direct system) serves as a hybrid of both SaaS and custom consultant to help companies develop and implement complete business systems. The end result is a tiered solution that allows our customers an easy and comprehensive path for managing growth.
Because we understand what it's like to search for a truly valuable business solution, our mission is to be your partner in total e-business management. What really sets SalesKite apart is the human touch. We are real people (and nerds :-) that believe we can bring exceptional value to small and medium businesses for hosting, site development and maintenance and complete administrative management.
Thank you for letting us share our story with you, and we look forward to talking with you on how we might help make your story happen.
