How It Works?
The first thing to know about developing sites with SalesKite is that you don't have to change anything about your current development process. Our system picks up exactly where your design leaves off so integrating a SalesKite built system into your plan is actually easier than building it yourself. Just take a look at how easy it is to build websites using SalesKite. So here's how it works:
SalesKite Partner Pricing (Hosting & Setup Fees)
Either before or after you begin designing, you'll want to work with SalesKite to establish a price quote for your client project. This will mean both hosting and setup.
For hosting, your client's monthly price will be based on the level of features they select.
SalesKite LAUNCH - $45/month
SalesKite CONNECT - $95/month
SalesKite TRADE - $120/month
The above pricing is based on 1-3 users which is appropriate for most small agency clients. Additional users add a marginal cost to your client's monthly hosting fee. It's important to remember that for hosting intricate systems and their respective databases, all of our hosting packages are extremely affordable and competitive so it's just a matter of identifying your client's needs and including that monthly cost in their proposal for approval.
For most sites, there is also a setup fee that will include creating a matching Content Management System from your design, setting up a Customer Relationship Management System and/or building out a full E-Store, depending again on your client's service level. In most cases, SalesKite can offer basic, flat pricing as long as the scope of your project remains within the standard scope. In some cases, it will be necessary for us to review your design and/or your client's requirements to provide you with an accurate quote.
Either way, the cost of development is usually a fraction of what it would cost any other way.
Plus, you have the choice of having your client pay SalesKite direct for setup fees or you can incorporate it into your overall proposal, in which case you would pay SalesKite for the setup fees, just as if we were any other vendor you hired. The bottom line is you are saving significant money on your tradtional development costs and can either pass that savings along to your client or start making a larger profit.
Designing Your Website
Your first step, as usual, is to simply create a website design for your clients. With SalesKite, you'll do exactly the same thing - design your site using PhotoShop. You'll continue to work with your client on all the norml site design tasks such as creating a site plan, choosing colors, images and layout and approving and editing your site comps. While there are no limitations to your website designs, it will be important to build a site that will be easily translated into a Content Management Structure. This means using streamlined navigation reflective of current web trends (such as Web 2.0). This will ultimately mean you will have a clean, appropriately organized site that is easy for the user to navigate and simple for you and/or your client to maintain. SalesKite can help you understand these basic design principles so you can easily incorporate them into your design phase, if you don't already do this.
SalesKite Implementation
Once your design is complete, you can rest easy while we take the development process from there. From your original PSD files, we will develop code, create the Content Management System and then integrate any other features contracted such as CRM or E-Store development. We build everything on our servers (since that's where it's going to be hosted) and then send you a link for final approval. Once we're up and running, you and/or your client can load content, images, links, customer data, inventory and prices using the simple SalesKite Dashboard. You can then continue to work with your client to maintain their site in any way you like. A SalesKite partnership is a win-win-win for you and for your clients.
